Heya--I'm one of those people who, embarrassingly, often loses all track of where I've met people. You've lj friended me, and you look quite familiar, but while almost every one I know is a writer of some description, for the life of me I can't recall meeting any /Kansan/ writers. You're not one of Rachel Swirsky's friends, are you? Not Kara Prior, photographed at an unlikely angle? It IS possible you just like Romance of the Three Kingdoms, and if so, l'm sorry for blathering on.

Hi, Erin. Yes, I do love Romance of the Three Kingdoms, the novel, not the anime or video games. (I'm sure they're fun, but I've never seen them.) I've written a fantasy novel based on ROTK and seek an agent and editor for my book. I have a google news search out on ROTK (to make sure I'm right in saying I'm the first person to do this) and your livejournal blog came up. Since you also love Doctor Who and a lot of other things I enjoy, I thought I'd friend you. Don't worry about embarrassment. I came out of the blue! :) I don't know if livejournal actually sends you my response, I don't use lj much, so I think I'll copy this to you directly, too. Sorry if it's just a duplicate response!
