You don't always have to. I... think that people can understand more of what you're saying if it type things out too.

Duh. Of course not.

It's like using a computer or e-mailing on a cell phone - just use the text option. It's probably better that way, since this thing translates all text put in, so everyone can understand you; when you only record yourself talking, only people who speak Japanese can.

We can teach you how to do pretty stuff, too~ ★
