Big ups to fox_in_exile for being the only person to reply to my writing from last night. I actually am terribly unsure why I ever post any kind of writing I've done here that isn't my asinine entries, because the real writing always gets, like, one comment and ignored.

This is almost embarrassing to say, but there is a very good article in the new issue of ( Read more... )

microwave, mencia, writing

LOLLLLLL They mentioned Jobs at the Graduate Open House I just attended.

Your writing? I missed it. I'm behind and reading backwards. :/

I, too, frequently find myself wondering how things were done before the internet existed.

Microwaves are bad ass. My mother picks fights with me all the time... "Why are you microwaving that pot pie? It tastes better if you bake it", then gets annoyed when I'm all, "The best taste is in the difference between two minutes and twenty minutes, yo."

And I READ everything you write, cockface, some of us just want the background FIRST.

A few days ago, my dad oven-cooked some pizza rolls, and I was like "why on Earth would you do that?"

I hardly ever use my microwave. We have a toaster oven that I use more than anything. If I'm starving and have to eat NOW, then I grab some snacky while something heats up. I just don't like a lot of stuff cooked in the microwave.

We had some guys come in the other night to the library needing directions. Apparently, their GPS unit was damaged and they needed to go read meters in a different town tomorrow and needed to know how to get there. Made me both laugh and think about how dependent we've gotten on technology.

I hear you about the writing thing. I'm doing NaNo this year mainly to try to get me to think more about writing. I'd be happy to sell a short story at this point, but that would mean actually getting off me duff and writing a good one, and then editing the living daylights out of it...

I hate toasters because they never make anything the degree I want it to be made it. I need them for Pop-Tarts, but other than that, they are useless to me.

I actually don't have or trust GPS. :)

Toaster ovens and toasters = not the same thing.

Oh, hey, mentioned by name sweet

Apart from wanting to comment, and enjoying the work, I also hate the feeling of no one commenting on original stuff *sobs* Everyone loved me for my porn! so...

And that sounds like a very, very good article. I think I'll mention it next time I have some asshole on the phone whining that he doesn't have enough pension to get by when he still has $300000 in the bank (yes, it does happen- daily).
