Oh Mec. One of the things I love the most about your fics is the way you see Jin; you really get inside his head, work out all his vulnerabilities, and everything that's going on beneath the surface. This was lovely and yet also achey. The scattering of Akame, Jin's jealously towards Kokame, the whole sweet and slow friendship between Akame. Just stunning. I particularly liked this line;

Kame's always been touchy-feely, casually brushing himself up against the others like an overgrown cat.

It's so very Kame.

Aww, thank you, Sarah. I have the horrible feeling I spend far too much time wondering what goes on in Jin's head, but if it makes for a nice fic then I guess it's worth it! It amuses me that you manage to avoid mentioning Ueda at all in your comment. *giggles*

You know that ep. of CKT when Kame demonstrates how he randomly holds hands with people when he's drunk (using Koki as an example)? That's what I was thinking of when I wrote that line. Not to mention, draping himself all over everyone in sight at concerts...

I really loved this Mec. Jin/Ueda I confess is not one of my favourite J.E. pairings. I absolutely adore Ueda, but I have a hard time pairing him with *anyone* in J.E. so it's not just Jin. However, this was so lovely and the dynamics written so wonderfully. Tentative, hopeful, and made me ache in all the right places.

Gorgeous writing. You could write anything, and any pairing Mec, and I would love it, because you make the stories *good* and believable.

It's probably not in my top 5 either - you'll note the abundance of Akame in this fic - but I do think it's about time I gave Ueda a little love. ^_^ (I'm sure Ueda's got a harem around somewhere, but damned if I'm going to be the one who writes it.) I'm glad you enjoyed it, Tia, even if it's not your cup of tea.

jin / ueda is kind of odd to me, but i realise, so is ueda with anyone. even a girl. ueda is just.. unique... weird....off beat? but this is so unexpectedly sweet and i can't think of any better way for them to start(that just indicates my stale brain, but..oh well)

absolutely love how they poke fun at each other. it's all so them! i think i learned something here...

Yeah, I think that's probably why a lot of people seem to find the idea of him with anyone (from this planet) to be odd. I'm not sure what I think of it myself, but I do find their friendship quite cute and they take such nice, dorky photos together...

Somehow, yep. Akame may be my OTP but sometimes they have other places to be, you know? But whatever form their friendship takes, I think it's pretty complicated.
