[Sam, decked out in trainers and running gear, is all prepared to go for a nice jog in the gym, and oh yes, he even makes a few laps! Quite a productive start-- hey, wait. What's this? Sam knows the sound of unrestrained aggression when he hears it, and he's drawn to it like a typical copper. He approaches Cissie, eyeing her with an arched brow, and crosses his arms.]

You can lay off now. I think it's dead.

[He's totally concerned about her doing this while her arm's broken, but he decides not to dad out about it.]

[Sam can't help but feel a little guilty for laying this down on her. He looks away for a moment, thinking, then back at her. This time, he does put a gentle, reassuring hand on her shoulder.]

It's... a very strong possibility, yeah. I'm not saying, that is... He could care about you. But the man is... he's warped and selfish. He-- his personality is abusive. Even if he thinks he cares about you, he'll try to use you, your feelings, your beliefs, to wrap you around his finger. He claimed he loved and cared for Prefect, too, and you can still see some of the bruises from their last encounter.

I've seen... hundreds of men just like him, back home, ruin countless lives. I don't want to see you fall into that trap, Cissie.

[Cissie reaches up to cover his hand with hers, squeezing it appreciatively. She exhales slowly, considering everything he's said. The stuff about Prefect is hitting especially close to home.]

You know, I never thought... [Never thought she'd be one of those girls with an abusive boyfriend, NOT that Sylar's her boyfriend and NOT THAT SHE'S GOING TO SAY THAT OUT LOUD. RETHINKING.] I never thought I was gullible, or easy to fool, but I guess maybe I am.
