...Eh.

Looks like there's a lot of new people coming in lately. I guess that's alright. I mean, a lot of 'em look like people Luke'd know, and he's pretty cool, since he's a replica like me. Still, I have a feeling this place's gonna get filled up like crazy eventually.

...And, uh, this may seem random, but how many Ions are there now? I know there was ( Read more... )

Yeah. Met him a while back. You one of his friends or something?

...

Yeah. You didn't know? He's the replica of that Asch guy. And there's THREE Ions, two being his replicas, and one being the original who died or something, or so I've read.

Yeah, I'm a really good friend~

Of Asch...? Three Ions... but... you're sure he's here, right!?

Yeah, of Asch.

And there're three. Sync, Florian, and the real one, as I said. Though, I dunno if the real one's the one you knew...cuz there was another replica here for a while, but he left.

To my knowledge, there are actually eight Ions, but only four of them are alive, myself included.

I am the original Fon Master Ion. Sync and Florian, who I had actually ordered the termination of, and what I assume is my perfect Isofon Ion. The rest should be dead.

I admire you, Ryuu. Being so determined to forge your own identity. I hope all replicas find your strength of will someday.

And about Fomicry. I'm not a scientist by any means but I was a subject of Fomicry so I believe I'm just as useful. Fomicry is the science of extracting a subject's fonic data and creating a replica, or "clone" as some say, of them, precisely appearance-wise. It is a very dangerous process and most subjects and replicas die in the process, and even after the process with issues such as fonon separation. Depending upon how old you are, I would or would not worry about fonon separation if I were you.

...Ahaha, I apologize if this seems lengthy. It is of Yulia's teachings to assist those in need and far be it from me not to practice what I preach.

Eight? Dang, that's a lot of replicas, and a lot of 'em dead too.

...I think that 'perfect' one was here already, but he's gone now. Dunno if he'll be back. But...should be dead?

Heh, thanks. I just hate being treated like a tool, so I'm just trying my best to be real, or as real as some replica like me can be.

Heh, I'm not sure if that's how Vexen made me, but it sounds pretty risky. As for my age, I'm probably not that old at all. I think I was only a couple of days old before I came here...and I've been here for at least six months.

Nah, it's fine. I'm used to long stuff.

It is a great number. I'm rather surprised I survived it as long as I did.

The rest were discarded simply because their Isofons weren't perfect and so many Ions would be unnecessary. The same fate should have befallen Sync and Florian, but apparently they were both kept alive for reasons I am unsure of. I plan on inquiring those who have lived past my time to find out why they weren't destroyed.

Considering that all the replicas I know of were created to be tools and nothing more, those are quite inspiring words.

If you are six months old at the least then you and your Isofon should both be perfectly fine if neither of you have died yet. From what I understand, it takes up to a week or so for symptoms of replication to occur.

Maybe they just escaped somehow? I dunno, but yeah, they probably did have a reason. Though, that doesn't mean they have to be destroyed here, right? Not that they could...since death's only temporary in this place.

Well, I was made as a tool too, but I didn't buy it. Heck, I'm probably a bit rebellious compared to any replicas you'd know of in that sense.

Heh, so it's not like I'd suddenly die or anything? Real Thing's fine too, but I haven't seen him around lately.

I'm not Ion... but there's me and Sync and original me...

Yeah, you're a replica too, right?

Yeah. But... What makes a replica different from anyone else?

What makes you replicas different is the fact you were never meant to be born.

I'd just like to know what it is... Ion said it had to do with replicas.

...It is the honed process of creating a perfect isofonic replica from original materials, utilizing the seventh fonon, yes.
