After Sam had talked to Claire and she was obviously upset, he'd locked up and tossed a couple of things into the Volvo. He set his ipod dock up and headed down to Costa Verde. It wasn't a long trip and pretty soon he was pulling into the Bennet's driveway. He'd been here a couple of times for dinner and Sandra liked him. She reminded him of his ( Read more... )

Claire met Sam at the door, prepared to give him an explanation for the Great Mom War of 2008. Her parents wouldn't agree with her telling anyone, but she believed that Sam could be trusted. West had let her down, but he'd also kept her secret. And she still thought about Zack a lot, even though they couldn't talk to each other now. Sam was just as supportive, she hoped that meant it would be okay.

"Hey," she stepped outside instead of letting Sam in, and closed the door behind her. "We can go in and get something to eat in a few minutes if you're hungry, but, do you mind if we walk first?"

"I'm always hungry," Sam grinned at her. "But I won't starve and I came up here to make you feel better, so we can do anything you want."

"Thanks," Claire nodded. She was a little bit nervous about telling Sam more, if only because he already knew enough about her to run out of town screaming in terror. He was a lot tougher than that, but she couldn't shake the idea very easily. She hated the idea of what she was, how could she except anyone else to accept it?

"We have a guest right now, my dad called her after he got back and before he left again. She's supposed to be helping my mom take care of everything until he can come home. He doesn't want to have to worry about us staying safe."

Sam didn't scare easy. It was even harder to make him run screaming. Dean Winchester was his brother and he was living in a world that was supposedly fact, or at the very least another dimension according to Dean. There wasn't much he couldn't accept given the right information.

"That makes sense," Sam nodded. He knew there was more to this so he walked with her down the sidewalk, hands shoved in his pockets and just let her talk.
