"...Lenore?" He stared at her, surprised, and then surprised and annoyed at himself for being surprised. Sure, it was a big planet, but he knew she'd be down here. Doing the exact same thing he was doing, no doubt, considering how many conversations they'd had now where he'd told her to do just that.

Why had that been a good idea, again? He wasn't sure what the point had been. He'd wanted her to have a good time, he guessed, like he was supposed to be doing -- but instead what it worked out to was that she got to see him, in the middle of his so-called "free" weekend, totally struck out.

He did so love being totally fucking humiliated.

"It's pretty dead in there," he muttered self-consciously, shrugging. "I was just leaving."

"Oh. Guess I shouldn't bother, then." It was embarrassing, not having at least one hot cabana boy on her arm or an entourage of men flocking around her or anything of the sort. Maybe she could pass it off as...she started barhopping pretty late? Party 'til dawn?

"Plenty of other places full of night life yet to try, right?" Even though it felt like she'd already tried half of them at least.

"That's the idea," he agreed in his very best I'm trying to sound cheerful but I actually sound like I hate my life, which I do voice. "I thought the... party might be better next door." Or at least his luck; he'd seen a couple of women heading over there, as opposed to the uncomfortably young girls that were all over this place, and that had to help his odds, right?

Speaking of women, he was kind of surprised to see her on her own at this point. With all the talk she did about his crewmen ogling her, not to mention pool boys, he'd figured she'd be... Well, he didn't need to think about that right now.

"How's your night been going?" he asked, trying to be nice and/or commiserate.
