because Ronan is equally terrible. it's like a spanner! That when you fiddle it in just the right way (...the Speech may be involved) it is really a little black book. A magical one that updates every time the Doctor takes on a new companion.

Inside there's a note for him saying "so you can keep track of all your girlfriends".
