[ Human beings really were flawed creatures. However, even though Diana was feeling weak and looked to be shit warmed over, she is still trying to provide for those who needed it while having coughing fits in between. [Alfred had been out all during the day, fighting off the cannibals the best he could to help those who needed that little extra aide to escape. He did his best, but like his supply of ammunition, his strength (which had been reduced to add insult to injury) was running low ( ... )

[The body count was rising. This was day three and there were still people Ed had yet to see. People he needed to keep safe, needed to protect -- his mother and Winry. Rika, Madoka, Cain and Abel and, of course, Diana.

She was smart kid, he knew she was, and he could only hope that she had stayed safe. She had a bunker and supplies. Abel was teaching her how to shoot and she'd been taking better care of herself -- eating right, exercising. She would be fine, right? Of course she would be, but what kind of friend would he be if he didn't check up on her.

Worried? Juuuust a little.

He made it to the bunker without incident. It helped that he had connected it to the base via underground tunnel. What he saw when he pushed open the door did not comfort him in the slightest. What he heard made his heart stop.]

Di?!

[ Diana is struggling to get up, panting and wheezing in the process. She lets out a harsh cough, her chest feeling like it was burning up inside and with her just wanting this pain and suffering to stop already. She lived with enough pain already, so why did she have to go through more?

Maybe... Maybe she ought to end her pain right now. She coughed and let out a sob before looking up a bit. ]

...E-Ed? A-America...?

[ Talking is painful right now, but as much as she wants the pain to end, she's still struggling with her hair sticking to her face, her hands and face pale and clammy. The taste of copper and dirt in her mouth added on top of that, too... ]

H-Here! I-I'm-- [ More coughing. ] I'm here!

[The second voice was noticed, although it didn't alarm him. Diana said that there would be others here. He didn't recognize it, but that was the least of his concerns now.

She sounded strained like she had a sore throat--no, it was worse than that. He had a horrible feeling of it; where did he observe such a thing before?

Shaking the thought from his mind for now, he edged forward until he could make out her outline in the dimming lighting of the bunker. Luckily there was still enough so he could identify her without trouble. A frown tugged at his lips when he got a closer view of her physical condition, and his concern just doubled. It was clearly reflected in his expression and voice.]

Di, what's wrong?! [He asked, already trying to think of what might have happened and anything he could do to help.] L-lie down! You should rest!
