[So. Luceti. Back. Actually, her memories are a mess right now other than the fact that she is cold, she knows she has been here before, and she is in a useless sundress. Haruhi hasn't really remembered the details about what's going on in this place. But she has wings and... somehow that isn't awesome. Because it's familiar.

When she stops a building (despite the darkness, thank streetlights!) her symbol up there on the sign. So she heads on in and... there's a replica of her Brigade room. It's bigger, some of the stuff is different, but it's unmistakably something she designed, right? She looks around, amazed at it. That table is so big. It could fit a dozen people, easily. She traces her fingers along it until she comes to the desk by the window - her spot, she knows instinctively. But in the chair.

...there is a boy in that chair and it is not her.

So she smacks the boy in the head, because he is dozed off]

Wait, that name, that means- he's back? That idiot returned? That one Kyonko said she- But- And the little boy-Mikuru- that- ... No, no no no no. What that means that all her efforts, and-]

[And here, despite being shorting, she pull him down by the collar, making his face level with hers. There's all sorts of anger and hurt in here as she practically screams in his face]

Haruki?! Haruki?! You said it has only been two months, Mikage! That moron disappeared a long time ago! Why would anyone-?!

[But she's not stupid, she's realizing what he's probably getting at already but that's stupid and impossible. A slider? She- him- that means-]

[And then she releases Mikage. The anger abates into this calm sort of resolution and she glances around the room again. Finally, she settles on the window. The big window, that's... she recalls looking outside of it]

...Hey, how do you remember it?

[Mikage can't help but stare at Haruki for that- or is it still Haruki? She'd seemed really pissed by the name, so why...?

Maybe he should think this through. But it's not like he can lie to her, either... damn.]

I remember... Haruki. The guy. He put together the Brigade here. But isn't that you...?

Ha. Ru. Hi. Haruhi. I'm Haruhi Suzumiya and I founded the SOS-Brigade Luceti branch, and you're my minion.

[He can't really mean- ... there's no way he can really mean that everyone will be remembering her different, can he?]

[...Yeah, it will. But she's going to try not to think about it. Because it's better to not. With a sigh, she marches past him to sit in her chair, because, well...]

[Mikage follows her over, nudging the extra chair he'd brought over earlier and flopping into it, positioned beside the desk rather than behind. The boss is still the boss, after all- he hasn't forgotten.]

[Okay, counting on her fingers now as she lists:]

That idiot Keiichi, Leon, you, Yoohoo of course, Uriko... Miu, Taichi, Naoki, Al...

...A few new people. One of them was Minato's sister. [The other two aren't coming to mind as immediately as the other Brigade members. And there might have been more. She feels like there were more lolis. And- recent. There was something recent and it's nagging at her, but Al's... Something]

[...And then he eyes widen. That face she thought of earlier. That's...]

...It's been- [...] two months right? [She wanted to say only two months, because that more befits with her memories flooding in now, but it jars with her own perceptions from the last month at home. Time is confusing right now, but that face and seeing Mikage there. She frowns.]

...Two months, yeah. [There's obviously something bothering her, but with everything else that she's gone through since she walked through the door... it's anyone's guess as to what the issue is. What else would-

...Oh. Wow. Okay, he can think of a few things, now.]

[It's a weird feeling. A girl she's only starting to remember is making her heart beat so fast. Faster and faster than Kyon ever made her bea- wait, who said she even loved Kyo- oh no... that was here too, wasn't it? She remembers how she felt with Kyon while he was in that coma, and now he mind reels as it compares to when that girl was bleeding and-

Wi- [She chokes her her own voice there.] Winry.

[As if leaving the whole Brigade was bad enough. As if all of this was bad enough. What if-]

[Yeah. It figures, that'd be what she has on her mind. Mikage hesitates, then sets a hand on the desk, shifting his chair a little closer. He's pretty sure she'd punch him if he went with his usual direct-contact-comfort, but he can't really keep his distance; it's just not his nature.]

She's still here, too. And she really misses you.

[Even if she remembers him as a guy, love is love, right?]

[...Misses. So that means she's not been replaced, right? He hasn't shown up again and she. ...She. It's a strange thing: she has always said that male or female didn't matter when it came to things but at home she had only the barest image of being with another girl but here she found time had done it's toll and- she welcomed it, looked forward to it, wanted it. And that more than anything.]

[Her face grows pensive, ignoring Mikage entirely before she looks up at the ceiling. It's winter, so frankly it could be any time after like five or six PM, maybe even 4 PM but somehow it feels later]

What are you even doing here so late?
