Goose had woken up early as was per his usual routine. What wasn't part of his routine was waking up to discover that he couldn't hear anything. The wakwak probably thought it had Batman dead to rights as it carried him over the park, each taloned foot gripping a shoulder. As it felt one ankle snap and then the other, it probably realized it had been mistaken. Things only got worse for it as Batman climbed up it and used a precise strike to dislocate its shoulder before he backflipped off, throwing a pair of explosive batarangs its way before he landed in time to watch it crash to the ground.

After collecting himself and making sure the wakwak didn't sever anything in his shoulders, Batman gave Goose a nad of greeting.

Goose blasted at one of the wakwaks just as it came to attack him and dodged a second one that came up behind him.

Out of the corner of his eye he could see Batman finishing off his own wakwak. He nodded back in response to the greeting.
