As long as he doesn't get any ideas about sticking his head in the oven, we'll be set. Bless you for being gender non-conforming about presents. It's good to see. (I'm starting it with my nephews and as many of the newly acquired babbies in my extended friends-family too. Everybody gets books, boys get golliwog dolls if I can find them, girls get red cars ... it's fun!)
If you check the photo with the books on display in the bookshelf, you'll notice "babby" ;) We try, we actually tried really really hard with A to be gender neutral, but we discovered quite early, that gender will out naturally. She's heavily pink/purple/dolls/fairies/etc, he's heavily trucks/machinery/boy things. Where we can tho, we encourage the blurring of boundaries. *grins* Daddy does the cooking, mummy drives the beefy car, etc ;)
I was always more into red as a kid. The one pink dress I had as a baby I apparently made a point of puking all over every time the Mother Unit dressed me in. :D
