Tim had...possibly spent money he didn't exactly have, on Gwynn's birthday present. Good thing his mother was approaching rich. He was willing to deal with the 'Oh Tim' that would likely come his way when she saw the credit card bill.
Maybe she and Faust were still enough in the scmoopy stage of being in love that when he explained it was for his girl friend she'd forgo the lecture.
In any case, he knocked on the door to the apartment, ready to party as hardy as Tim Desmond ever did. Possibly even more so.
"Hey beautiful." Tim smiled. pleased to have such an armful. Though he'd likely blush himself into spontaneous combustion if anyone were to ask him about that. Or possibly if too many people were watching. "I missed you too." He held her tightly, just enjoying the moment.
"Thank you," she said before kissing him and then tugging him into the apartment. "My birthday isn't supposed to be until tomorrow but your calendars here are stupid again and they left it off, so Eve said it was today."
She shut the door and continued tugging him to where she and Eve had decorated.
It was very blue and silver and green.
"I just got back this morning and Father and Phillip said to tell you hello."
That wasn't exactly what they said, but that was what she was telling Tim.
Eve had pounced her boyfriend and dragged him in and now she was sprawled out on a couch in the living room, quite happily drinking... well, she'd let Gwynn mix her something, which meant either it wouldn't do anything or she'd be dancing on the table in fifteen minutes.

Never let it be said Eve didn't have good balance as well.
