Gwynn was sitting on an outcropping of rocks on the beach as she watched the water. She was graduating from Fandom high tomorrow -- and she still had no idea what she was going to do after that. The glimpes of potential children and then becoming a wee one herself (again) hadn't made things any clearer

Not that he would ever tell her that to her face. He happened to like all of his parts attached, thank you very much.
He stopped several feet from her, noticing that there was a serious expression on her face as she stared out over the ocean.
"You know, there are many dangers for a woman on the beach."

"But none for a man?"
He moved a couple of steps closer. "I'm bigger and stronger."
"But no faster nor more clever."
"Definitely faster."
Gwynn laughed as she stood up on the rocks to look down on him. "So you would agree that I'm the more clever?"

"Considering how wrong I was proved the last time we had this conversation, I would have to concede that you are the more clever of us." He bowed to her and then grinned. "Hullo, Gwynn. It's good to see you looking so well."

Instead she hopped down off the rocks and hugged him.
"It's good to see you, Phillip."

Robin had to stop to make sure that it was indeed his daughter he was seeing.
"Beautiful just like her mother," Will whispered.
Robin cleared his throat and pitched his voice so that Gwynn would hear them.
"What does a traveling man have to do to get a greeting from a fair maiden?"
Will shook his head.

"There is no fair maiden here, but this warrior will give you a good greeting and look elsewhere to find you the maiden you seek."
It was possible that she couldn't quite hide her surprise at seeing them.

"Hello, Gwynn. Did we make it on time?"

Did she really think that he would have missed her celebration for anything?

"Gwynn!"

And that was Gwynn tackling her oldest friend. "You came!"
