This was not Karina's morning.

First she'd woken up to Evan's stuff in her room, like he was moving in, only no one had told her. Which was terrible enough and, yes, she only knew it was Evan's stuff because she'd checked and he was lame enough to write his name in his textbooks. Lame. God, what a loser.

"And I'll talk to somebody in the office as soon as it's open again," Evan stressed, his fingers pretty much taking residence where they were pinching the bridge of his nose. "But for the time being, it's Saturday, my stuff is all here somehow, and whether you've laid claim to the room or not, it's technically school property, they get the final say in all this."

Well she liked it even less!

"Yeah, no," Karina said, even though he had a point. Shut up. She could totally ignore his point if she wanted to. This was her privacy they were talking about! She had no roomie! She needed no roomie!

Especially not him.

"That's not how this is working. My room, not yours, go hang out somewhere else."

"This is insane," Evan growled. "You can't hold my things hostage just because you don't like me. My room listing has changed, my key has changed, I'm at least coming in and getting my stuff."

He had a dog to feed and books to read and homework to do. He had better things to do than this, too!

"I'm not holding anything hostage," she retorted, making absolutely no move to step away from the door so he could get by her. "Holding it hostage implies that I took your stuff and I didn't, asshole."

In fact, just to rub it in, Karina leaned a little more solidly against the doorframe and crossed her arms over her chest.

"It's not my fault I haven't had any notice of this. I don't have to accept this and I'm not. Stay out."
