This is a new AU series of ficlets/drabbles/short stories taking place in my altered 'what-if' AU, post 'Hathor'. What if Jack and Sam had been married before the Stargate Program? What if one of Hathor's larva had gone into Jack's pouch and the sarcophagus had been destroyed before Sam, Teal'c, and Janet could get him into it?

What a sad little fic.

You captured the angst of the situation very well. Jack getting up to put on the bandage says it all. Being a Jaffa separates him in the most intimate ways from what he loves the most.
