So, it seems like good ol' MA is devoid of jobs. I can get a low paying part time job like the ones I had back in high school, or continue to apply to hopefully better ones and see what happens. I applied to a bank yesterday, so I have to wait a week to see if they want me back for a second interview. It seems like a college degree means absolutely ( Read more... )

Hey I'm working at Toys 'R Us, "25-30 hours a week", because they don't want to give out benefits(not that I'll be working there long enough to get benefits in any case). Don't worry, buddy. Your college degree will open many doors for you. Failing that, welcome to the dreary and depressing world of indentured servitude!

I'm sure I'll be joining you in a couple of years when I either fail out of graduate school or discover that I really need that $12,000 a year retail job as opposed to my $10,000 teaching assistantship, because debt collectors have sent dishonorable ninja assassins. Once a ninja forsakes eir honor and goes corporate, it is fucking ON, and you don't even know it.

Anyway, buck up. At least you're attractive enough to have the option of selling yourself to rich republican men to pay off your loans... Those who aren't looking for someone about 15 years younger, at least.
