No more porny icons in Ny’s journal. That seems like such a crime. :( But, I offer you one of your favorite bits of Justin to make up for it.
Congrats on getting thru the second interview. I know this is a tough one for you, but I do think you’re right that if it has to be done, it should be by someone who will do so in a caring and compassionate way. While I’m in the camp of people who will say, “I couldn’t do it,” I have to be grateful that there are people who will. All I have to do is look at both of my healthy kids to know that, if not for animal testing, the minor and not so minor illnesses that they’ve been through might have turned out very differently.
It’s a shame that they don’t have antibiotics for computers. Hope you get some good news about yours soon.
at least i still have that pretty icon (even if i might have to go refind all the lovelies i accumulated on the scavanger hunt).
i feel better about the job...and it's not like i've been offered it yet.
computer anitbiotics would be swell...but computer friends are almost as good. it might be saved i won't know till like friday but i'm keeping my fingers crossed.
until then...it's ny-lite = pornless and less frequent. lol.
Sometimes we have to make hard decisions and when you need a job, you need a job! My thoughts are with you and I hope something else will come up in the meantime! J x
Ok, don't be so hard on yourself. You're in a bad place and you're doing what you have to do with respect to this job. It's not like you're doing a jig over it and if something else were to come up, you'd move on, so don't think there's something wrong with you!
And if i have to think about animals in labs, i much prefer to think that the people in there taking care of and testing them are people like me. people who give a shit, who are going to do their best to be sure the animals are treated as well as possible given the situation, and who are going to follow regulations to the letter. Exactly!! Listen, people say "I couldn't do it" but that means "I wouldn't want to do it". Sure they could do it. If they had to, they could do it, you can do anything if you have to, if you think you can't then you haven't been in the situation of being backed into a corner and you should be grateful for that, no? There are a lot of places where, unless you kill an animal, you don't eat, period - meat doesn't grow on little styrofoam trays after all
