Calvin woke with a pounding in his temples and very chilly legs.

After that gremlin had bit him, he'd had the strangest dream, he'd been fierce, he'd been fabulous, he...had a wineglass tied to his hair.

"Hobbes, what exactly did I do last night?"

Luckily (or unluckily depending on your point of view), Hobbes was prevented from answering by a very insistent knocking on the door.

Calvin made a valiant effort at sitting up, and failed miserably.

"Can you get that?"

Hobbes considered this deeply. "I could," he said eventually. "But should I is the real question."
