Mal's spent time in her room already, very determinedly not crying, but there's a point when she just can't do it alone anymore. So she wanders down the hall, before stopping at a familiar door.
Hesitates, then knocks.

And then a longer pause.
Eventually, the door opens a crack, an eye peeks through at her.
“Whatever it is you want, no,” Sands says, and the door snaps shuts again.

...oh.
And that's just the final straw. So Mal sinks down, back to the door, puts her head in her hands, and cries.

And then the soft fwoomph of a pillow being thrown at the door.

It's almost-quiet crying, little hiccups and soft sobs and she really can't stop.
