[Litchi is taking a rare day off from the clinic. Only it's not even really a full day; she's just stepping out for a while for some fresh air and a chance to actually check in on her housemates. Watching diligently over Tsubaki is still her top priority, of course, but she needs just a short break from the clinic ( Read more... )

[ McCoy has been taking some time off from attending the clinic as well, although it wasn't entirely of his own choice. And matters aren't helped how he has defected to the battle dome medical facilities instead.

And it takes him a while to make heads and tails out of the message filtered to him and he scrawls back a very messy reply: ]

Not at clinic. Subject?

It's about one of the New Feathers that just came in. I've been informed that she is likely to volunteer with the clinic, but that she may be a danger around anyone afflicted with Hinamizawa Syndrome.

Of course, I may just be jumping to conclusions, but I think it would be best if we just kept a close eye on her if she does decide to volunteer with us. [And kept her clear of the entire medicine supply for said syndrome.]

[ Hinamizawa Syndrome? He remembers hearing about that syndrome all too well, having to deal with it earlier in the year and so Litchi bringing it up causes him to frown. Someone posing as a threat to a girl like Ryuuguu? ]

I see. Can you give me a description?

According to Adell, her name is Takano Miyo. From what I can gather, she was a nurse back in the world the syndrome originated in.

[The fact that she's seen the final effects of an obsession like this before makes her handwriting just a tad sloppier on the next part.] From what he was telling me, she's apparently fanatical about researching the Hinamizawa Syndrome and is infected as well. As I understood, it's set off her own hallucinations in the past and she's apparently done some particularly extreme things because of it back home.

[When Litchi returns home, she'll find Thirteen on the couch, tuning his guitar up a bit. He makes a face at the notes he strums out. Still not quite right. He tightens it a little more, then looks up.]

Hey there. Didn't expect you home so early, but this is a nice surprise.

[Litchi chuckles quietly and leans lightly against the back of the couch, glancing over at him with a small smile. Slightly out of tune or not, it's always nice to hear his guitar.]

Hmm. I could say the same to you. It seems like it's been ages since I last heard you play.

[Soft sigh. She settles in against the couch comfortably.] It is a little early, but I feel as if I haven't left the clinic in weeks. It's just nice to be home for a few moments.

[He'll smile lightly back at her, before putting the finishing touches on tuning.]

I'm glad you're here to take a break, even if it's for only a little while. But, you know, if you'd like a little music... all you ever have to do is ask.

[Thirteen begins playing a subdued, relaxed tune. Unlike many of the songs he used to play, it's not melancholy, though.]

[Quietly appreciative of the relaxing tune, Litchi leans against the back of the couch a little more, letting her eyes drift shut. She stays silent for a stretch, just listening contentedly before cracking an eye open and smiling.]

I don't think I've ever heard you play this song before. Something new you picked up?

[When Litchi gets back, she'll get a welcome home grope, the best kind of grope.]

[Oh, pff. You make it impossible to stay angry, Tao. Litchi smiles despite herself.]

Thank you. I have to admit, it's nice to be home. [Gently teasing tone.] You haven't been pestering David too much, have you?

[ > library for five hundred

It's not actually somewhere Kida lurks or anything, but where else will he find a new copy of Anne of Green Gables to fawn over? Yes, he is there and... spots Litchi there. OH HM.]

Oooh- and who is this beautiful young scholar I see here? [He asked as she sat on a table in here while she was off a bit looking at titles on a shelf]

[Litchi pauses, hand halfway to a book that she thinks may have some more information on the Hinamizawa Syndrome, and glances back at Kida with a surprised blink. This boy... really does show up everywhere, doesn't he...?]

It's nice to see you again, Kida. Have you been well?

[He's been better, but he waves a finger as he leans back on his seat on the table, nodding and the like too]

Much better now that I'm in the presence of a beautiful healer like Litchi-sensei.

[Oh, Kida. You never give up. In a way, she can't help but admire his tenacity.]

That's very kind of you... but you know you don't need to lay on the flattery every time you see me, right~?
