I am very sorry that I cannot help you financially. I know that there are some (few) low-cost/sponsored animal clinics around the city, and if there is an animal shelter or a pet shop in your area they may be able to give you contact info for vets who provide low-cost assistance.

Do you happen to know any of those vets? I don't care if they're in my area or not.

I saw the pamphlet at a local pet shop some time ago. I will try to go there tomorrow and see if they still have the leaflets.

There is the Farley Foundation - not downtown, though, and I don't know if you would qualify:

That is GREAT! I think I can qualify for help from them. I just need to find a vet to apply for me. Depending on how long the application takes, this could be a real option.

Luv!

You can try calling this vet:

Bloor-Kipling Animal Clinic
3804 Bloor Street West
416-233-6306

I took Lila to get fixed there and it was $95, not sure if the rest of their services are cheap though. Its walking distance from the Kipling subway station too.

Which vet are you going to? There is one at Queen W between the Gladstone & the Drake - AVOID that one... run far away - very very fast.

Another vet that is awesome, but might not be so cheap. They do some consulting work with the Zoo as well:

Animal Hospital of High Park
3194 Dundas Street West
416-763-4200

Looks like it's the same guy I saw recommended, but I had a different number for him...

Dr. Dave Sohal of the Bloor Kipling Animal Clinic 416-233-6303 is apparently very inexpensive.

Oh Ragamuffin babies!!!!
I take Pee Wee to this place called Bathurst-Dupont Animal Hospital (416) 588-3056
Again the same thing they gave me a quote of 170 for her Hysterectomy which was the cheapest I heard of by far (they start at about 220 or more everywhere else i called) but then again that's only one procedure and i don't know what are the rest of the prices are like but the shots and other things seem to be resonable as well...

Hope you find the help and advice that you need HUGS to both of you
