Charlie lay in bed, head turned to gaze somewhat blankly out the window. Every so often his body would shake with a coughing fit before he got it under control.

Coming to Gotham had not been a good idea for him. He had good days and bad days.

More bad then Renee liked.

She walked further into the room to make sure he didn't need more morphine.
