I enjoyed Art History, but then I was a Classical and Near Eastern Archaeology major, so it was an allied field. And I enjoy sketching, so when there was a class that didn't require copious notes, I would be sketching the things that were showing up on the slides. The disadvantage is that slide classes are often dark, and warm, with the comforting hum of the projector, and if one is sleep deprived, the obvious will happen...

Some of western civ is interesting to a historical novel addict like me, and some of it is...dry. But often in the discussion sections there are issues that can be hotly debated, if one relishes an argument. Oh honey, I'm sorry you're having to stretch it out longer. Yes, definitely use the counselors. I keep nagging telling my son to do it and he resists. You're tuition is paying for them so use them. They really will help your experience easier. Hang in there. And in ten years you'll look back and think how easy it all really was!
