random fandom stuff...

Just a question thought up out of curiosity, open to anyone.

Do you consider it a fandom of yours if you aren't active in it? ie: You don't make graphics, read or write fanfic for it, etc?

Just wondering. :)

Hmmm...you know that's really hard. I used to love Stargate Atlantis, but I haven't really been into it all that much anymore. I'm not really sure if I consider it one of my fandom's anymore or not to be honest.

But there's other fandoms (for me, most of the time SG-1 and SGA are totally separate fandoms...most days lol) like SG-1, where I've made so much artwork for and made so many fics that it'll always be one of my fandoms...even if I move on and stop writing fanfic/making artwork, I'll still considerate one of my fandoms.

I mean, like, if you care about it...still enjoy watching it, at least (if it's a show/movie) I still consider it a fandom I guess.

..I think so. rare I don't at least read, but still. long as you're rooting for the fandom, thinking about them, talking about them...

That's pretty much my view on it. Especially if it's a TV show, that I really enjoying watching and stuff. Like, JAG was a fandom of mine before I even knew what fandom was. Before I new what FANFIC was. Now I'm actually getting back into it... Reading JAG fic for the first time.

ummhumm. G.I.Joe. was..what.. 9 years old? and I'm sure I came up with stories in my head. and sure as hell was a fan. didn't remember it to read fic till.. a couple years ago? lol
