Sick pup. :(

The bagel's been sick the past couple days, and after little improvement, I decided to take him to the vet's today. We thought he might be diabetic, so they ran all sorts of tests to check for that, Lyme Disease, etc. The vet couldn't find anything wrong, but she gave me some pain meds for him and some fluids. He seems to be doing better now. ( Read more... )

Aw I'm sorry love - I know how worrying that sort of thing is and doggies can't tell you what's wrong. I hope everything turns out ok. *hugs*

Awwww. sorry the bagel hasn't felt well. It's so hard to watch them sick. Sometimes they just need fluids or have just a little bug. Hope he continues to feel better. What's he been doing since he's been sick, just laying around or throwing up and stuff?

Thanks. :) I can happily say that he is 100% better now. :D Still taking meds as a precaution.
When he was sick he barely got up, was just really hunched over and stiff when he moved, and he was shaky. I thought it was just dehydration and it made his muscles ache. He ate normally and drank and wasn't throwing up, so when he didn't improve for long after a day and a half, I was getting nervous and called up the vet. He would seem to get better as the day progressed, then in the morning it was back to square one. All the tests checked out okay, so that was a relief.
