Kaidan... wasn't really the kind of guy who felt completely comfortable chaperoning a high school dance. He did it, because he saw it as part of the job, but... that was about it.

So in order to steel himself for the night, he'd let Dean wheedle him into invited Dean over for a movie afternoon before the dance started. Some terrible sci-fi movie

Scifi movies were way better than school dances, Kaidan. Don't front.

And luckily for him, Dean was already knocking pounding on the door, a six pack and sack of burgers in his free hand.

"Hey," Kaidan said, after he'd opened the door far enough to warrant that one. "...You brought burgers. Of course you did."

And now he was hungry. Just like that.

"It was that or pizza and a guy can only stomach so much pizza. But burger?" He pushed the bag at Kaidan's chest. "Those are a forever food."

Kaidan took the bag, shaking his head. "Can't drink the beer," he said, walking into the room so he could put the burgers on the coffee table. "I have to chaperone."
