OOC: This prompt takes place at the very end of this scene and continues into a "what-I-think-could-have-happened-next" type thing. The video referred to is this one, featured in the episode Not in Portland. This isn't binding to any Ben muses.

Very nice! Benry is so nicely creepy and I definitely see him trying this kind of ploy on Jack.

Thank you! I was nervous about writing Benry because, er, he's not my muse, but it was definitely a lot of fun!

Such a good take on a scene that still has yet to really come to fruition as far as answers on the show. I was always taken by how quickly it worked on Sawyer when they went to rescue Carl and seeing this, and the mental breakdown of how Jack begins to pull out pieces of it that make sense to him, and fit to the way he is is a very compelling notion.

I love the tie to the 'savage' note as well. A lot of anger, and the pacing of the piece is really well thought out. It twists a simple game of chess, which we all know it never is, and makes it into such a bigger game that Ben is trying to play and the parallel is finely executed.

What struck me was how instantly hypnotic the video seemed. It only added to the creepy factor.

Jack very much has an angry side that I wish I wrote about more. I think lately I'm trying to revisit canon and what's there only gets more and more interesting with the further I delve.

Thanks for the feedback!
