Heya guys, Eru here~
As you can see, Liberty University has an upcoming Musical.
We have many muns interested in backstage and on-stage performances.
If you haven't signed up but are interested, you can go [
here].
And really, don't worry if you know noting about Les Misèrables. I'm not going to burden your heavy school schedules with play research. If you really, really, want to, [
Here's the Wikipedia Article], otherwise, leave it up to Samzilla (India/Iroquois/S.Africa-mun) and I to decide who plays whom.
Now How Exactly Will this work?
The thread is set for this Wednesday.
Samzilla and I will co-author an opening post, then you will come on and audition only if you are playing a part in the play, not if you're backstage.
It works very similar to the format of the Rooftop on the Concert/Peter and Raivis's Wedding/Kissing booth thread.
You will post an intro - maybe talk about how the character is feeling: start with "Hello my name is ____ and I'm auditioning for the part of _____", then you will link a youtube video with your song choice. Lastly, you are required to provide an excerpt from anything that shows your character's acting ability in script format. Jared and Dewi will then respond with their reactions. If any other mun would like to add their input/reactions/congratulations/that was amazing/ect, feel free~
Here's an Example:
NERVOUS MALE STUDENT #1 felt a lump in his throat as his feet carried him onto the stage. He looked out into the darkened faces of the judges and brought the microphone to his chattering teeth: "Hello, my name is NERVOUS MALE STUDENT #1, and I will be auditioning for the part of Jean Valjean." He cleared his throat and nodded toward the piano. He proceeded
to sing with a voice very different from his own normal talking pace. When the piano faded out, he gave a polite bow, and then held his hand against his chest.
"But Soft! What light through yonder window breaks? It is the east, and Juliet is the sun!"
After his monologue, he exited the stage after a gesture of politeness, and heard the shallow applause of his peers in his wake.
It is recommended that your reciting of script is longer than those two lines.
Unless involved muns want it or Samzilla and I change our minds, there will be no actual thread for the production itself. Only an audition - the rest will be carried out through journals.
