*And we have a tall male running and weaving through the crowd in his haste to reach the girl he had just exchanged words with mere moments ago. Though she did not mention how dire her situation was, the fact that she accepted help from a total stranger said enough.
As he neared the gardens, Cain’s eyes widened in recognition when he saw the wolves that surrounded the young female. It was unmistakably the handiwork of Isaak.
There was only one thing to do.
Cain ran faster, barely avoiding the jaws of the wolves to the girl’s side. Though he knew that the wolves could hardly hurt him, it was always wise not to show one’s capabilities in a public place.*

[Chrome's eyes widened in surprise. So focused on the creatures that had surrounded her, she hadn't noticed the figure that approached.
Her fingers tightened a little on the trident, almost embarrassed at the thought of having had to ask, especially a stranger. But, Mukuro-sama needed her and she couldn't die. Not like this. Not until he didn't need her anymore.]

That is good to hear…
*Cain rubbed the back of his head in a sheepish manner as he took in all of the wolves that surrounded them.*
Ehehehe… They look rather hungry, do they not?
*They were pack creatures, used to hunting and taking down their target as a team. He had no doubt if one leapt in their direction, the others would probably follow suit. The only reason they have not done so was because Cain had surprised them with his sudden intrusion.
It was time for another surprise.*
Hold on tight!
*Without another word, Cain grabbed the petite female besides him and tucked her under his arm… and began running the hell out of the place.*

You don't-
[Chrome gaped as her center of gravity sharply changed, her legs no longer meeting the ground. Her hands immediately went to touch the arm around her, the immediate instinct to get away still there, but she didn't try to push them off.
He'd saved her, after all. He couldn't be that bad, could he? Bad people didn't...
They didn't do things like that. Because good people cared, like Mukuro-sama, Ken, Chikusa, and the boss.]
... Ah.
[She relaxed a little, as best she could, to try and not make things any worse.]

Now is not the time to be minding your manners, fräulein!
*If he was a normal human, they would probably outrun him in the matter of seconds. It was Isaak’s little science project after all and knowing the other, he was not about to allow any mere being to outrun his pets.
Perhaps Cain was fast enough, or perhaps the wolves recognized him. But whatever it was, he managed to run into the Firehouse and shut the door behind him before they could catch up to them. Other than being winded and panting to catch his breath, he was otherwise unharmed.*
Sorry for not telling you beforehand-
He grinned down at the girl and let her down on her feet slowly.*
But I only decided to run on the spot. Those fangs look a little too sharp for comfort.
[Chrome settled awkwardly on her feet, one hand smoothing down her skirt and the other trying to find a place for the trident that had reverted to a simple blade.
Her bag... She'd have to get it later. After those things were gone. She brought herself to focus on his face.]

Well, from they way they were looking at you, I am not surprised at all.
*He chuckled softly, and took a few steps further down foyer before he paused and made a gesture for her to follow him. The mermaid (yet another by-product of Isaak’s boredom) swam to the glass and blinked curiously at the newcomer. Cain gave her a smile and a tiny wave.*
Would you prefer tea, coffee, or hot chocolate? I will get the maids get make us both some…
*Hm. There was something that he was forgetting… something important. He clapped his hand together, looking very pleased with himself as he spoke.*
Are you all right?

It's not safe... for you.

It is as if I could leave a girl in trouble alone.
Now tell me where you are.

It's okay. I...
I like it away from them better.
