He thought maybe the Malnosso'd let him off the hook. Because they do do that sometimes, right? But no, no. They decided that just wouldn't be a very viable option for Wolfie here. While he's lazily walking around the grocery with a basket in arm, he reaches for something on the shelf and finds-to his horror,

Tumble down the stairs. It's not fun, at all.
As much as she doesn't want Vash to see her this way, Amelia knows that he won't just leave a defenseless furball on her own. She doesn't find Vash, however, but a transparent priest. Letting out as shocked of a coo as her form can muster, Amelia manages to roll onto the part of her body that lets her scoot forward, trying to close the distance before Wolfwood floats through the door.
Her tiny body is not so good for this, however.]

... What... on Gunsmoke are you supposed to be...?
[It's gotta be either someone's horrifying ball of fuzzmonster, or... a person who turned into a horrifying ball of fuzzmonster.]

Have a coo instead.]

You must've came from upstairs, huh? I just came back from the stairs, so you couldn't've come from anywhere else...
... I take it all you can do is make that 'coo' noise?

She's still concerned though. Why a ghost, of all things? Not that she's expecting there to be any sense behind all of these changes, but still. It wasn't all that long ago that she thought Vash had died. Seeing another person she had come to like in a condition that would suggest the same, even if it isn't actually true...
Not that she can say any of that. Just like Wolfwood's already figured out.]
Coo.

... Luceti's got an awful sense of humor... I guess it's only fitting, to put a dead man in his place.

No, really. Amelia can hardly believe what she just heard, and even worse, she can't ask. Amelia moves closer to Wolfwood, but it doesn't help--nothing does. And oddly enough, that gets her to make a new sound. It only comes out when she's really panicked, which...would be now.
Have a high pitched screech, Wolfwood.]

Hey! What's wrong?
[He unconsciously reaches to grab the critter, but his hand falls through it and the floor, back to his knees... Maybe he was wrong. Maybe this wasn't just a pet. Damn, that would be a damn stupid mistake, on his behalf. But who would you be, that he knows...]

Wolfwood might get a hint by the way the hairball dashes away when the hand goes for her. It's instinct she can't help, even just then. But she does get an idea, finally, and Amelia scoots around on the floor in front of Wolfwood. It might look random, but if he's paying attention, the priest might be able to pick out letters:

... Amelia?

...yeah, probably not. A sighed-out coo later, Amelia resorts to more scooting. She'll spell out yes, and then how again.]

It's, uh... a little complicated...
[And kind of unbelievable, in a few ways.]

[Amelia doesn't care about complicated. She cares that Wolfwood is dead, when he is so skilled, and a friend of Vash's who never lets anyone die.]

A man named Legato Bluesummers killed me; he was capable of controlling people's bodies with his mind, so he used one of his allies to shoot me when I'd let my guard down.
[Thinking about it is a real bitch, you know?]

After a few moments more, Amelia begins to move again. It's not like she know what to say, but she has to reply somehow--even if S O R R Y feels painfully inadequate.]

Don't worry about it.... Shit happens, right?
[Shit he still has trouble coming to grips with.]
