"You've gotta' be fucking kidding me-"

Wolfwood has been teleporting since he found Vash dangling out of a treetop, and now it just won't stop. Among his list of places he's randomly teleported:

1.) Into the lake. If you're passing by, you may notice either flailing arms (along with veeeery colorful curse words ( Read more... )

[Well. It seems to be part of Zoro's lot in life to haul drowning people out of the water, but it's usually one of his dumbass Devil Fruit user nakama. So when he walks by the lake and notices someone flailing out there, he tenses, looking harder-oh, nvm. Just some guy in a suit.

...Who clearly can't swim much better than Luffy, Brook, or Chopper. 8| Dammit.

Hi, Wolfwood will shortly have an irritable swordsman swimming out and hauling him to the surface by the collar of his jacket.]

[Oh, hallelujah, someone is going to save his poor ass from drowning a cruel death; he just... goes limp and hope he doesn't drown the rest of the way back to the shore. And when he finally does get there, he groggily crawls up the bank and collapses like a half-drowned dog.]

Aaaah, I've never been happier to see dirt... Much obliged, stranger.

[Zoro scowls a bit as his boots squish, tromping out of the water to where he'd tossed his swords, then takes off his haramaki and starts wringing it out. He casts an annoyed look at the collapsed man at the thanks.]

Whatever. The hell were you even out there for if you can't swim?

[He flops over onto his back and points at the sky, too exhausted to do much more than that.]

Something teleported me over it. And these wings are shit for flying, I'm sure you already know. I wouldn't have been anywhere near the damn thing otherwise.

[...Teleporte-]

-Oh. So that's what's been going on.

Yep. Prior to the lake, I actually fell through about 3 stories of treetop into some poor guys tent... totally wrecked it. And before that...

[He quietly recalls when he teleported to a mountain side...]

Aaaah, yeah, let's just say I'm glad I was teleported back off the mountains before I had to actually start climbing down.

[Casual handwave of 'meh'.]

...Huh. [Scrubbing a quick hand through short hair to rub the excess water out, not that it takes any time at all to dry.] Weird. I just got sent to the bar. And I'd been trying to get there anyway.

[Because this event is having the truly bizarre effect of canceling Zoro's atrocious powers of Lost and tends to miraculously, for once in his life, automatically get him to where he wants to go. *__*]

Lucky dog, I wish someone would have the common courtesy to at least let me at a bar for a few measly minutes. [Oh Zoro, Oceanic Flight 815 would be so proud.] Oh, I'm Wolfwood by the way.

[He puts a hand out for a handshake.]

Thanks for not watching me sink to my doom, huh?

Hn. I'm Roronoa Zoro.

[And Zoro Looks at that hand. Not like he's disdaining the gesture but more like he's not sure what Wolfwood's playing at. He's from a world that does bowing, after all, and he's Very Obviously not someone that goes for high-fives or low-fives-ah, wait, it must be that.

He grabs the man's outheld hand and hauls him effortlessly to his feet. Because clearly that's what he meant, right? :| Zoro is so helpful.]

Don't mention it.

Interesting name you have there.

[He blinks as he stands, confused for a moment-but one look at the guy and he sort of gets it finally; he learned reaaally quickly here that many preferred a different method of meeting someone.

He chuckles.]

Never gave someone a handshake, I take it. Do you bow when you greet people?

threeswordsoul September 27 2010, 09:41:29 UTC
Is it. [It's a name that'll reach the Heavens one day soon, but other than that there's not much special about it.

...Handshake? :|a]

Yeah. [How else would you greet people? Well. Zoro kind of inclines his head in a bow-like fashion, but that's six of one half a dozen of another.] What, you don't?

[He grins.]

Not where I come from, no-then again, people tend to not be very friendly in the first place... but when we meet people, we take each other's hand and shake it. I guess it has a lot of different meanings to it, but...

I think it's something along the lines of saying 'I don't have a weapon in my hand'. Kinda like a gesture of peace.

Hm. ...Weird way to do things. Even if you don't have a weapon, someone can do a lot of shit to you if you just give 'em your hand.

[Meanwhile Zoro does have weapons in his hand as he stoops to pick up his katana and slide them back into place at his side.]

Ehh, I don't think it's made to be too literal, the idea of it. I've made quite a few people who probably could kill you with one hand.

[He notes the swords.]

A swordsman... Definitely only a handful of those back home. Most are more gun-friendly.
