I am sort of beginning to think that my personal DW canon starts at Two. In this version, Two is indeed Two and Susan happened and such, but other than that it's vague and a bit murky. He just seems so new at the whole thing sometimes. It is "kawaii." This would be a bit more hardcore than "Paul McGann doesn't count" but I think I could carry it ( Read more... )

I perv on Jamie too! I've given up on finding Second Doctor stories in the US. I almost fell over in shock when I realized Best Buy had a Seventh Doctor story instead of nothing but Tom Baker for miles and miles.

TEH MIND ROBBER IS LOVE!! Dude. :D

i wonder what the literacy rate was in the highlands in the eighteenth-century.

Victoria taught Jamie to read when she was in the TARDIS, yes.

I have to say Hartnell's probably my least favourite Doctor. I find his performance often painful to watch. That in itself wouldn't be a deal-breaker, except that many of his stories go on forever and ever and are crammed with nonsensical garbage ("Time, like space, although a dimension of itself, also has dimensions of its own" being a particular "favourite" - that gem from The Space Museum, which struggles even to live up to its thrilling title). I'm going to pick up Lost In Time soon though so I might revise my opinion when I see some of his orphaned eps for the first time.
