OH DS9, HOW ARE YOU SO AWESOME?

I don't remember seeing this DS9 episode. It is a Worf episode, he is on trial for killing people or something. They have just done the never hearing Morn speak joke WHICH I STILL LOVE. Remember when there was an entire episode about Morn and he still didn't speak? That was great. Mainly I love The Sisko though, how is he so awesome? I can see how ( Read more... )

I don't know if I like Julian, he is a whiney bitch at times.

I remember how much I hated him at the start but eventually I just decided it'd be easier if I just rolled with how completely ridiculous and whiney he is. Also Miles (grudgingly) loves him, so he can't be all that bad.

I loved the Morn episode! I love when they had his funeral and everyone was talking about what a great friend he was and all the great things he did, when all we ever saw him do was sit on the barstool and not talk, and it was HILARIOUS.

DS9 doesn't come on tv here ever. I seriously need to buy it. TNG is on all the time and it makes me a little stabby because it is SO BAD and not DS9.

I feel like I should own it on proper DVD to prove my love. Maybe I can get it second hand sometime.

I have not seen enough DS9. The main thing I remember about Odo is that messed-up thing where he and the scientist who raised him found another little goo-baby, and were arguing over to raise it with love and affection or repeated electrocution. There was an odd kind of inevitability to the "The answer is halfway between the two positions" approach they took, where the correct thing turned out to be lots of love and affection and a little bit of electrocution.

Should we electrocute real children sometimes?

Only in certain very specific medical procedures.

It is always a bit confusing with DS9, because it assumes the audience has a brain and will watch all the episodes.

And yet this is the reason that people hate it and prefer TNG. DS9 has arcs and plots that last longer than 45 minutes and things don't get fixed immediately.

Not to encourage you... but Amazon has been selling DS9 at about £16 a season. The prices have been fluctuating pretty regularly, I bought the last three seasons of Voyager a couple of weeks ago for only £10 a season.
