I want to see the Edge of Darkness film, to see what has survived the transition from Amazin Telly to Generic Hollywood Action Flick. Obviously I will be VERY UPSET if it does not end with ( spoiler )

edge of darkness

Whee, another movie using Northampton, MA for creepinessssss.

Gets points for that, even if Mel Gibson is evil.

They have posters for that in the movie theater around town. I get the odd flickers of morbid curiosity, but mostly it looks the same as all of the other Mel Gibson movies I've already been avoiding.

What, you don't think it's improved by replacing Awesome American Jedburgh with Boring British Jedburgh, and having the main character be melodramatically in search if revenge instead of grieving and wanting answers? You didn't watch the original and go "This would be awesome, if only it was more cliche!"? But cliches make everything better!

Mel Gibson is always in search of revenge, isn't he? Even his Jesus was all "I'LL BE BAHCK!"

So was there really incest in the original? I don't know anything about it but I remember you mentioned it once I think.

Posssssibly? I think there is, but it is mostly subtle.

There were implications that could be read as incestuous. Nothing that was really "Incest has happened!" but definitely some 0_o moments along those lines.
