Maybe her forward behavior in getting the Doctor's attention on Valentine's Day had something to do with it? Especially as they're both supposed to be married to other people.... In any case, she doesn't care and is making notes on some of locations

Something like that. [Not looking up, she skims over to a blank page. After River jots down a few lines, she flips back to an earlier page with writing all over it. Her eyes flick up for a moment to look at her visitor, back down to the page... and slowly back up again.]

[Sarah Jane doesn't miss the somewhat unusual ordering, but she's going to wait and see]

Just double checking something. [Aaaaand back to flipping closer to the beginning of her diary and skimming over some entries. Then she looks back up, maybe finding what she was looking for, maybe not. Either way, she closes it. The blue cover's design might look a little familiar to Sarah Jane.]

[ After the phone call, you might find a tall, blonde, but clearly Asian, man standing behind you, a cat on his shoulder and a puzzled look on his face. Luckily, quite soon he seems to understand what is going on. ]

Is that what the creepier-looking citizens of this town are referred to as? [She looks at him over her shoulder before turning all the way around.] Sounds fitting.

I'd say they're more annoying than creepy. [ Frown; after living with such creatures for over six months... yes, definitely annoying. ] Anyway, hopefully we'll get along better.

I only say creepy because their smiles remind me of a doll's: fixed and empty. [pauses for a moment] You must be Mr. Heiwajima.
