You want to think that this will never end. You try to trick yourself into believing you can have all of Forever with him.
When he looks at you with nothing but raw love burning in those eyes like stars shimmering in your blackest night, you know that someday even those stars will burn out. Everything must leave you at life’s close. Everyone you love must be lost. He will not be the exception.
You should know better than to let him have your heart, that you’ll only end up a shattered shell when he leaves you.
But when he holds you close, you can forget that time will steal and ravage this love.
You know that Time will say nothing but ‘I Told You So’ when the darkness finally takes him from you.
For now you’ll find solace in his arms, absolution in the love he gives so freely, the closest thing to religion you’ll ever know in the way you worship his body with your own. You can forget about the way time passes too quickly and relearn what it means to live with him by your side.
