X-Men Origins: Wolverine

Stay to the end of the credits. My flatmate and I were the only ones in the cinema when it happened, but stay to the end of the credits.

Th complete and utter lack of "real" blood in the movie makes it seem so unnatural! You've got guys gutting each other left and right, with all the squelching sounds, but no red!!! You just feel like something's not right. But apart from that I really did enjoy the movie, it had more of an X-Men 3 feel to it rather than X-Men 1 (my fave) so it leaves a wee bit to be desired, but I can't complain. I'm sure it's even more impressive for viewers who don't know the original story.

Hugh Jackman is as hot as ever, though some scenes made me squirm uncomfortably, like all the ARGGGGHHHH-AT-THE-SKY scenes. The whole fighting on top of a nuclear plant chimney was kind of weird too. But all in all I got some good laughs, some sexy eyecandy, and an actionpacked movie that I don't regret seeing!!!

(The scene after the credits was pretty random but got a laugh out of the people who stayed. I don't know if it was intentional, but it just cuts off suddenly and you're all "what?")

It should be noted there are TWO end of credits things to stay for. It's random which one you'll get depending on your theater, etc. So if you want both, go see it twice so we can get a Deadpool movie goddamnit, if this movie tanks we will not get a deadpool movie

My mistake. From an io9 post (which I'm not linking to because even the title has spoilers!):

"Meeting with reporters, Wolverine director Gavin Hood confirmed those reports that the movie will have multiple end scenes, shown after the film's credits."

I figured that meant more than two, not just two.

I'm fine, I'm not worried about the swine flu (excuse me HUMAN INFLUENZA thank you pork lobbyists), I'm just annoyed by everyone wearing surgical masks and stuff.

In short: Don't worry, we're fine up here. Regardless of the eleven possible cases in my hometown. Eheheheheh.

The whole thing reminds me of the SARS debacle, where everyone outside of Toronto thought we were dying in the streets or something. Yeah, people died and it sucked, but it wasn't anywhere near as bad as the media made it seem.

Like others have mentioned, the 'look up to the skies and scream in anguish' moment with the kid made me facepalm and giggle. Overall, though, I enjoyed it more than I thought I would - I was worried, after some reviews, that it'd be awful. Would have liked a little more Wade, though. And the little girl in me who fell in love with Gambit (and GambitandRogue) when she was *mumblemumblemumble* is VERY pleased that Remy was finally in a film. Clearly, there will have to be another film, Gambit-centred, in which he finds a way to find Wolverine, just to give him back his leather jacket. How else can they explain why we see Wolverine wearing it later in the other X-men films? *blissfully ignores all the other continuity issues that require more explanation*

I got the Japan after credit sequence, and will now be trawling t'internet for the other one(s?).
