I was reminded of an early Simpsons episode quote with this episode.

"...whenever Blue Beetle's not on screen, all the other characters should be asking "Where's Blue Beetle"?"

Blue Beetle should be louder, angrier, and have access to a time machine.

I felt like I'd missed an episode somewhere. Not that I didn't enjoy it, but it seems an awful lot happened off camera.

I'm glad Godfrey took the Reach to task for lying. I mean, I kind of expected it (the Ambassador going "we have but ONE space craft, and it is PEACEFUL, with NO WEAPONS", followed by the unveiling of their hidden fleet, was too perfect of a setup for there to not be fallout), but "the masses" have been frustratingly quick to shift in whatever direction the storyline calls for. I mean yes, surely not ALL humans were like "the Reach! Okay! Now hand me that alien juice!" but public opinion doesn't turn on a dime.

The episode was good. I enjoyed Arsenal's scenes, and I guess the reason they had Nightwing cut him off was so that Arsenal could go off with the others to establish their own version of the Outsiders (or whatever). Having them all join the team might have made the team seem overinflated, but now Arsenal has found a place somewhere, and can establish relationships without being in Red Arrow's shadow.

The Light doesn't want Earth destroyed, but tougher. Putting us at war with other aliens and planets (especially Apokolips!) will definitely thin out the worthless and make the others stronger, and hey, let's steal their tech too.

I also liked the moment between Nightwing and M'Gann (she even knows his real identity!), with so many characters this show is juggling, bits like that are too few this season.
