It's weird, I'm hearing two differnet ideas as to what the episode number is.

Since it's episode number 13 on Itunes, I'm not sure how it could be episode 12 unless one of the episodes I have is supposed to not exist ( ... )

"Glad to see that M'gann isn't going to be unfairly criticized for using her telepathy invasively/offensively, considering the number of times that the League and the team have asked her to do just that."

Well, in universe at least. Outside of the series and among the fan circles, things are more...Messy when it comes to that. But actual show wise, oh my yes this is getting handled quite well. As someone's tumblr has pointed out though, I hope we'll get a bit more resolution with the character arc that doesn't just translate into "Oh, look at how wrong M'gann is; she should have listened to her man" since that could easily leave a bad after taste.

That said, I liked Superboy's chewing out of Nightwing, just because I think that's been overdue for a while now. "Because you thought it was a bad idea to share" sums everything up pretty well, I think.

It's interesting that people have said that it's basically fallen apart due to Nightwing developing Bruce's secretive streak, but the odd thing is that the YJ-verse Batman doesn't seem to have that problem.

In fact I'd go to far as to say that YJ-verse Batman might actually be a close second to the DCAU one in terms of general, all sensible behaviour.

His basketball game with Dick did a whole lot to win me over, I'll admit. That and his reply to Diana's "So he'd end up like you?" with taking him on as his protege; "So he wouldn't." I also like how there doesn't seem to be as much drift between Dick and Bruce when he became Nightwing in this continuity.

Which incidentally makes me buy into the tinfoil hat theory that Jason Todd dying might have helped pushed Nightwing onto this more cloak and dagger "ends justify the means" path. There's a chunk of people wondering if Dick spent a lot more time at Wayne Manor after passing the Robin mantle on, and thus had a good relationship with Jason. And also probably took his death pretty hard; certainly might explain how long he held out on assigning Tim as a leader, too.

Not fully sure how valid that is, but I like the ideas behind it.

I like how they left open whether or not Green Beetle is what he seems. He didn't get a real mind probe; MM only saw what he volunteered to her. So we have no idea what he actually did for/to BB's scarab. It could really go either way (and I suspect they'll keep leading us on about that for a while). Even if he's on the level, we don't know what this will do to BB's combat capabilities. And it's doubtful he'll be able to understand the Reach language anymore ( ... )

You make good points. I suspect the problem is simply that the plot is butting heads with reality, and the team/the League have to short-sighted and sit on the results so that the plot can proceed toward the superhero showdown (or Ultimate Reveal) against the Reach. That's not really a satisfactory answer, granted ( ... )

Plot holes happen. And sometimes stupid things are necessary to make superhero stories work. But sometimes it still bugs me. There has to have been a better way to do this ( ... )

Well, if Godfrey is anything like his comic's counterpart, there's a reason for him backing the Reach. But yeah, I don't get how he can endorse them and hate Martians so much. Aren't the people of Earth and the people of M'Arzz on friendly terms?

I'd totally drink alien juice, just to say I've tried it. It'd be out of this world!

Deathstroke was really cool (I rooted for him against Lagoon Boy too), and Manta definitely acted like a human being. I liked Artemis' mental commentary, even if she shouldn't have been thinking all those things with Psimon five feet away from her.
