That Peter needs to stay single indefinitely was the whole reason for dumping MJ -- having him tied down ages him. Remember that, Marvel? So why should we care about the new perfect girl for Peter Parker, no matter who she is?

I am so sorry that I still care about this.

The whole thing is amazing, though. So we're expected to believe, after they've proven that Spider-Man can be magically divorced from his wife of twenty years, that the next woman he likes is The One?

I can't believe they don't understand why this can't work. What they've really done here is made it difficult for any writer to ever have Spidey end up happily married, from now on and forever.

If he gets back with MJ, then they will have a "magic love that even overcomes the devil and the EiC."

If he does not, then it will never happen. First Gwen, now MJ, next Carly, after that it will continue because the pattern will b set.

I don't know why this makes me sad, but it looks like this fictional character may never find true love.
