Now I doubt that there's anybody who doesn't know about the whole One More Day fest that many many fans have hated, that had Peter Parker and Mary Jane Watson become magically divorced

True but that could be said about many things. It would be awesome for example to have both of Clark's living parents meet the Kryptonians but it just didn't happen in the end.
I suppose it's more of a if you look at the story and it's results from down the line does it seem better that it would've if nothing actually came from it? Eh, I can't think of a good way to phrase it I suppose.
It would be a little ironic were that the case, seeing that the Scarlet Spider was created as a way to allow Peter Parker to remain happily married while Spider-Man could continue to have adventures and irresponsible hijinks.
I think the bigger question to ask (once this storyline is done), is could this story have been done without the unmarrage? Or would it have been pretty much the same?
The resent button is a given in comics. I think the new Spidey stuff has been a mixed bag but I do admit Peter being able to date does make things more interesting IMO.
Nothing against Ben, but I'm not interested in bringing him back or revisiting the Clone Saga. I don't think it would be a good "trade" or whatever of the Spider-Marriage for Ben, considering how they've bungled Harry's return.
Sort of a trick question as I have no idea how they plan to write him. Last I heard there were rumors of him being a bad guy. And given how much of his story tied in with Peters' marriage and Mary-Janes' pregnancy I'm not sure what they would do with his backstory. Love Ben but given how their writing Peter and MJ I'm not sure if I'd like the NEW Ben Riley.
