Here are the third and fourth excerpts for the UST WiP meme, in which I give Ray Kowalski cancer (sob!) and then Duck and Dan from Wilby Wonderful make with the hot monkey sex. (You can find the earlier excerpts here, if you have a hankering for a bit of a dS Western AU, or an angsty Fraser/Kowalski scene).

Thank you! "I want MOAR" is exactly the reaction I was hoping for! I'm just so worried that I'll pour my wee heart and soul into this story and no one will want to read it because, well, cancer, y'know? And yet, the people have spoken.

I think I might die from the angst of Ray with leukaemia, but Dan and Duck and sex on the sofa makes everything better. Please to be writing that one?

Heh, okay - that one will be finished quickly, and you can use it to comfort yourself once I post the "Ray + leukemia = OTP" fic.

I wanted to draw Ray into my embrace and feel those sharp bones and defined ribs, to test the boundaries of that aching thinness, to discover with my touch all of the other things Ray might have kept from me.

So ANY OTHER AUTHOR (well, MOSTLY any other author) who made one of my favorite characters cry after sex would have me hitting the x for fear of teh melodrama. And yet when you write it, I bounce up and down and can't wait for the rest of the story. *scratches head* Nos, are you magic?

I'm so glad you liked it, and didn't think the crying was over the top. I mean, it IS over the top, but it felt like a good ending for that scene, y'know? So, um, I'm glad it didn't make you hurl.

People still say "hurl," right?
