Feast and Famine

Well, meresy caught the 10:30am bus home this morning, bringing our midweek fangirl sojourn to a close. I was really sad to see her go: we had lots of fun and meresy is a lively discussion partner who is kind enough to put up with my lapses into long-winded, pedantic discussions about fandom, Canadian nationalism and the cultural arts. She was a lovely ( Read more... )

I just barely made it to the station on time. I had to ask a random girl to tell the bus driver to wait for me to buy a ticket. Fortunately he was also waiting for another bus to arrive for transfers, but still! My capacity for catching buses at the last minute rears its head again.

Neither the food nor the digs bothered me at all. I live like a university student, with all that implies. Most of my friends don't even own an air mattress. I am resilient. Thai delivery is practically gourmet.

I'm really not very intimidating, plus I'm too much of a slacker to criticize the work ethic/problems of others. I promise to work on it.

I express a similar bogglement with your education. Rest assured, I was not enduring your rambling, but rather trying to get my head around it and figure out if I had anything halfway intelligent to say. It's a language barrier. A lot of times I do not feel like I have have the background. I just fail to think of some things in certain terms. You are enlightening! (Seriously, she is, people. Encourage her ( ... )

There are several things wrong with that comment. Stupid buttons. It's late. I'm going to bed. -_-

Awesome! I'm so glad you made the bus, if only because it kept up our winning streak of just-barely-making-it, which is very impressive.

And yes! You work on being more intimidating! Hone that glare, Meres!

Okay, I too really have to go to bed. When did 1am become so goddamn late?

I'm sitting here thinking " Nos's stressed! This is oh Nooooooooes of huge proportions. What can I do to help?"

.... and coming up with nothing..... nothing!

Hugs (virtual or otherwise) are nice, good thoughts are sweet, but in the grand scheme of things, they are no bloody use at all!

Bid me! I am your minion. Is there anything I can do?

Actually, I can do one thing - the beta I asked you to help me with. It is done and dealt with. *mystical handwave* Think not on such mundane matters! :-)

*g* I was getting to it, I swear! Thank you for all the well-wishes and the reprieve. I think I'm just being a big baby but...stresssssss. Are you sure the beta situation is covered? I hate to leave you hanging but I have a feeling that tonight I'll be prowling around begging for help on my still-refusing-to-cooperate draft.

It is done. Don't even think about it anymore. :-)

If I can help in any other way, just let me know. Whatever you need - if I have it, you can!

How does one study biology? It's witchcraft!

It makes sense! Emzymes and molecular biology and pharmacokinetics (and, okay, so maybe my job's more about the cat abscesses and the questionable contents that are making my shoe go squelch, but still) and all that kinda stuff are logical and-- and-- *waves arms around* --it's you wordy people with your discussions and meta and stuff that are practicing the witchcraft.

*nods vigourously*

And on a more serious note: Lots of hugs and the promise of virtually beating up your nasty work-related stress and ickiness!
