Hi all. I've been radio silent lately because of massive tech fail--for about ten days my internet went out every day at sundown, and when it finally got fixed my VCR died, so I was way behind on watching everything, and though I've purchased a VCR/DVR combo it doesn't like my antique television, so I think I'm going to have to break down and buy a ( Read more... )

Re: Supernatural. Oh, that makes sense about Jody. I thought she was acting strange but, I couldn’t figure out a motive for it. Her being a Leviathan does make sense. As for Dean and Sam, I really liked that they approached not their meatsuits but their meatsuits’ brother. I really liked Sam and Leviathan!Dean vice versa.

Yeah, I definitely liked the interactions with the Leviathans and their "brothers." Mollyamory below unfortunately has a good argument for Jody not being a Leviathan.

I thought that about Jody too, but then she was elbow deep in that Borax herself when they accidentally discovered that it would harm leviathans, wasn't she?

Oh, damn, that would completely bollix that theory. Unless she was wearing rubber gloves? I couldn't tape that episode since my VCR is dead, and I'm not curious enough to download the whole episode again to find out, but I think she might have been wearing rubber gloves.

No gloves! (I have an itunes season pass, so it's right on my ipad; checking at work is probably not cool, but it is pretty easy. :)

She was bare-handed and wringing out the soapy bucket water in two separate clips; in one she has to stop and shake it off of her wet hands. So I think -- for the time being at least -- she's in the clear. I'm sorry! (And yet, also happy. :)

Well, I'm happy she's not a Leviathan, since that would mean the real Jody is dead, so yay for that!

It was so nice finally getting a Cary episode - and I very much enjoyed the bit in the car with the undoing of the seatbelts. HOT.

Oh, yes. This show? Has some of the best sex (and sexual tension) of anything on television, even though they don't do it often enough.

OMG, Revenge! Nolan letting himself be seduced - and clearly enjoying it - was the best thing ever.

H50: Max's costume was not the only good thing about the ep. Kono was also wearing those awesome boots again (although you had to look closely with her all-black ensemble). Too bad that was all that was good about it. I also don't understand this Danny can't find a place to live storyline. I mean, if it were fic, I would know we were just biding time until Steve invites him to move in, but as a running bit on the show, it just seems pointless.

Yeah, I may have to rewatch the episode online just to see that scene again. Or maybe someone will post that scene to Youtube, because HOTNESS.

I didn't notice Kono's boots of awesome, alas.

I'm wondering if Danny really is going to move in with Steve, because like you I can't figure out this storyline, otherwise. I forgot to say one good thing about the ep, though: at least we know for sure Grace and Rachel are back in Hawaii.

I also loved the confirmation that Tyler isn't straight, which gives him this whole other Daniel-related motive. Maybe he's really hoping Daniel will keep him in the style he's accustomed to.

It really makes no sense otherwise. It was kind of nice to see Grace, but I continue to be worried about her. She's so unhappy!

Yes, just making Tyler bi actually opened up a whole range of possible motivations for him. (Two canonical bi characters--I can't get over that! Plus, if one were interested, Emily/Amanda slash, because jailhouse roomies who start out with a physical fight? If real Emily turns out to be an interesting character, that's a whole new realm of slash to explore).

I would be unhappy too if my dad took my trick-or-treating in such a sketchy place, honestly. I am hoping it's just situational unhappiness.

my VCR died
Bummer! Mine is sick (I indulge in magical thinking...maybe it will heal itself!), so I'm thinking I might grab a refurbished one off of ebay.

I'm thinking I should have done that because maybe an older model would actually talk to my TV :-( I hope you find a good one.
