I'm just--I don't know--now kind of convinced that the finale is not going to live up to 10 years of buildup?

Yeah... Tom's attempt on Jimmy Fallon to not spoil anything just made it sound like nothing is going to happen.

Lalala. I think I'll just focus on how pretty everyone is.

Well, to be fair, even in seasons that I've mostly disliked, they generally do a good job with premieres and finales, so maybe it will be better than we're expecting?

Oh thank god, someone other than me wasn't blown away by tonight's SPN. I've been reading other people's posts all night, and all the gushing is bewildering. Yes, it was a solid episode that explicitly addressed some questions, but as you said, it didn't really tell us anything *new*. Confirmation of things already guessed is good, but...I also enjoy forward movement, and this ep didn't give me much of that. And it didn't strike me as particularly revelatory as a meditation on Cas's current state of mind, either.

All told, it's a good thing Collins is pretty when he angsts. *g*

I also loved that apparently angels can't create their own heavens but borrow from human ones. That was a really nice touch.

THIS, yes. That was a *great* touch.

Huh, gushing reviews? I haven't seen that many, but there weren't really many reviews posted when I went to bed last night.

I do hope they're not leading up to killing Cas. That possibility worries me.

That Raphael was hanging out in Ken Lay's heaven cracked me up.

I really thought they would avoid their typical back half slump, given that for once they knew for sure it was ending, so they could build toward something great. :-(

On the other hand, this show generally pulls out all the stops for finales and premieres, so maybe it will be better than we're expecting.

I think Sam and Dean were more upset that Castiel had been lying to them than what he was actually doing.

I guess we just have to hope the SV finale will be better than we're expecting.

Yeah, Smallville was awful. I really haven't liked this season much so don't hold out any hope that the finale will be any good. I just hope Clark and Lex get to make sexy eyes at each other. If that happens I'll be satisfied.

I'm kind of dreading the finale, to be honest--what if they manage to mess up even the Clark and Lex stuff? But then I remind myself that for some reason, finales and premieres are the only thing the SV writing staff does well, so maybe it won't suck. :-(
