Just to let everyone know, I am fine - and am not in the Oslo area at all. No one in my circle of friends/family appear to be in the area and be injured. (The brother of someone I know, who is rather high up in the Labour Youth Party and who would normally be at the camp at Utøya where people were shot at, was actually in London on summer holidays

Re the blood thing, this always happens after any sort of disaster, often followed by a shortage a few months down the line because all of the regular donors gave at the same time. I don't use twitter / facebook, but if you could encourage people to think about donating in the long term rather than an immediate rush it might be useful.
