I am amused how the period bad guys all resemble Klaus. Then again, he is a bit of a bad boy. ;-D

I have often wondered if the author's original intention was to have the Major act at antagonist to the Dorian/Caesar pairing, interfering as Eroica attempts to collect his thousand kisses. But instead, he totally took over in the role of love interest. For Dorian, it is snark at first sight, and the loath each other. Yet Caesar is very quickly overshadowed. After all, who can possibly compare with the Major?

Yes it's true few men can compare to the Major...imagins...groans. Oh what about that guy Seleem(sp) he's very hot especially on that motorcycle. I wouldn't share though and he has a mean mouth not a good sign.

By the time Saleem turns up, the Major is very solidly in place as Dorian's love interest. Although, as I have gone back over the first couple stories, I am suspecting he was intended as such all alone. I only JUST noticed that, the first time that Caesar appears, he's wearing a trenchcoat, shirt and tie. (He never dresses this way again.) And the title of the series itself is a blaaent nod to James Bond and spy genre.

Also, it is obvious from the get-go that Saleem is undeniably heterosexual. Just another person for Dorian to tease (read-appall) with his over-the-top flirting.
