Had a fun vacation; would talk about it except apparently LJ's gone down in my absence. Sigh. Maybe later. Just know that it was fun, that I got sunburned for the first time in memory, and I am now sick of fast food and American food in general. :V

Yes, Livejournal did die for three days straight. =_= It was agonizing.
But it sounds like you had an amazing vacation! I'm glad. :D I hope your sunburn wasn't a bad one at least. I got burned a month ago so badly that it still looked like a fresh sunburn three weeks later. :D;;;

I don't think it's bad, just my shoulders are still a bit red now. Usually I just get an unexpected swimsuit tan so this is something new. Makes wearing bras hurt like a bitch though. :I

ahaha Yes. Bras are a pain when you have a sunburn on your shoulders. I'm usually so pale, that I just burn straight away no matter what. My burn went down my shoulderblades too, so I couldn't sleep on my back for a whole week. :D;

\o/ I started writing fic for you to come back to but I stalled. Also I got distracted. But I'm glad you had an awesome time :D sunburns are why I avoid the outside like a vampire. The last time I got one was 2003 I think when I went to one of those outdoor rock festivals. Which was awesome but man, my shoulders are still weirdly freckly because of it XD

Just for you, here's what I managed to get done... or some of it since I started about three different scenes but this one is the longest. XD

Subterfuge has never been Rick's strong point. There are those out there who can lie with the best of them, there are those who can lie to protect themselves when in a tight spot, and then there is Rick. Rick who goes so fidgety and tongue tied at the smallest of deceptions to the point where he wonders why on earth the Movement ever chose him for such a thing.

Not that the answer is any great mystery. When it comes to the psychicly gifted Rick's abilities simply are more subtle than most. Knowledge and foresight and a quiet sort of manipulation that makes him suitable to walk amongst those who would shun them and ultimately take what the Movement needs. He's far from the only one, but he's one of the few whose abilities are especially suited even if he himself isn't
